Following Eveoganda's post "What's in your hangar"? I thought I'd drop a quick couple of notes re naming conventions for my ships.
My Dad's an ex-Submariner and I spent many enjoyable afternoons at school in the Naval CCF so I tend to follow a fairly traditional line of naming my ships after Royal Navy Ships.
The benefit is that I can use the right ship types in the main for the ships I'm naming (this tends to go a little awry for Interceptors and Industrial type ships but for those I tend to use fast patrol boat naming and RFA (Royal Fleet Auxiliary) names.
It works well for me and means I tend to have a ready supply of names without having to think so hard!
As for what's in my hangar? Well at the moment it;s lots of fleet fitted ships for the NC campaign all ready to be lost in the next few months!
Preparation is everything
